Firefree 88® (“Ff88”) is a premium intumescent fire-resistant coating tested to comply with many fire rating performances prescribed under the Australian Building Code as well as many US and international construction codes. These standards involve fire resistant testing which measures a product's ability to prevent fire penetration over a period of time.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Under the latest release of the National Construction Code 2019 (NCC), Fire retardant paints and coatings can only be used when approved by a fire engineer under a "Performance Solution". Penetrating fire retardant systems are permitted.

Fire retardant coatings can be used to comply with the AS3959 Bushifre requirements. 

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that any product purchased from Fire Defender will meet the requirements of the building code you are required to comply with.
